Passenger Name Record (PNR) is the travel record used by airline and travel agency databases. The same technique (PNR status) is introduced in Indian Railways to track the passenger travel details.

PNR is a unique ten digit number printed on the top left hand corner of your ticket, in case you want to travel by reserved accommodation, which has to be quoted in order to know the status of your ticket.
